Yesterday I left a comment on Sherri's blog about her quilt she has hanging in her hallway, and she replied to me and asked if I liked the "Snippets" fabric line as well. So I had to go look that up because I wasn't sure I knew what it was.. but was pretty sure I was going to like it. And I found it! I am assuming this is a fairly new line by Sandy Klop of American Jane.. and I have every intention on getting some of it! And this is why. #1.. I love anything 30's and 40's.. the bright colors and florals. And number two.. I have these exact paper dolls!

I blogged about them over a year ago.. ~here~ ~here~ and ~here~ . They came as a set.. three little girls, then their teenage counterparts.

I can't wait to see what you make when you get your "Snippets." What a treasure you'll have...the vintage paper dolls and the fabric! Thanks so much for sharing these vintage paper dolls and letting us know of the connection with the fabric line!
Eileen, this post reminded me so much of the time when I was younger and playing with paper dolls, making her similar dresses like yours. Thouse days, we were poor and there were no toys, so we pretty much had to invent everything ourselves..and i was always transported into another fairyland..making, colouring and cutting all those papers. Have a great weekend, much love/M
I love the Snippets line. Oh how I wish I still had my paper dolls.
These are so sweet and wonderful! Thanks so much for sharing :)

I remember your paper doll post; how cool that there is a fabric line to match them!
Don't you just love paper dolls?? I got some of the Paper Doll fabric from Windham that was featured in Fons and Porters magazine...I LOVE it and got some to make (hopefully) the featured quilt for my youngest granddaughter. Such fond memories of years past!
These are really sweet. What a treasure!
How sweet! I think you need to use some of the fabric to make some kind of portfolio to store your paper dolls in.
Eileen I just saw this fabric today at a quilt show.
You definetly will like it!
Oh how I loved paper dolls, I love the coats and party dresses, what a fun thing to share with us, thank you!!
These are adorable. I have to go look up this fabric line right now. Thanks!
Oh my how wonderful that there is a fabric out there totally inspired by the original paper dolls!
I have seen that fabric, and you are right is it so you!! There were a few quilting magazines that patterns were printed in recently to use that fabric. I will have to look for them and let you know if they are recent and you can still get them.
My paper dolls did not survive childhood. What great fun they were though! Will have to check out the fabric line. Nostalgia sure sells!
Lovely paperdolls Eileen.. I can remember that I was drawing my own dresses for my paperdolls and I could play with them forever with my best friend.
I have been skiing today at my cottage and it was this super weather, lots of sunshine and warm enough to sit outside and enjoy ...
Have a great saturday night!!
I used to love playing with paper dolls. I can't believe you still have some.

Best wishes.
Regina, from Brasil
They are so lovely! I used to play with paper dolls too, but unfortunately I don't have them anymore. I have to check the fabric line!
I love, love, love the Snippets line of fabric and it's all I can do to avoid ordering it. I can remember spending hours sitting with my paper dolls - wonderful, wonderful memories.
Me too, playing with paper dolls when I was young. I had the Lennon sisters and there was a peggy too!
I felt famous... well not really.
Well we girls all love the paper dolls. I always was after my mom for a new set. It is so strange to me that the line is exactly like the vintage paper dolls though. hmmm
Wow! That's pretty dang cool to have the same paper dolls that are on the fabric!!!! Yes, a quilt needs to be in your future with this line.
Hi Eileen--
