Finished for Friday

I'm playing along this week with Lit and Laundry...

Technically these were finished a while ago.. but I never seem to get with it enough to have good photos ready of recent finished projects by Friday. Betsy McCall does have her new outfit done that I started this week.. but the sky has been so drear.. I told her she needs to wait for sunshine to show it off.
But here is my finished Tea Swap present that I sent to Bec in Australia. She already posted lovely photos on her blog. Thank you so much Bec.
It is a table runner and tea cozy.. and once again it was a dreary day I see!

The quilting is supposed to look like steam coming from the pots and cups.
And then last week I made up this little family.. even though I have a war going on with the real bunnies outside since they ate my yellow crocus for dessert. These wool ones ended up going to a friend for her birthday, and since she now has them.. I can show.

I love Lit and Laundry's blog. Pop on over there today and have a good laugh.. OR a good cry. She is good for both. And maybe join in on her Friday thing.

Those tea pots for the swap are utterly fabulous! As for the gorgeous rabbits, so far they are behaving although Maisie the big one did have a conversation with the budgie. I'm not sure what was said. I didn't have my phrase book. Thank you so much for them Eileen.

You don't want me to stick pins in them as some form of voodoo aginst your garden rabbits do you? LOL

A-ha! yes! Did I forget to mention they were pin cushions? ☺

The tea pots are just adorable in those well chosen fabrics.
We are having a war against city rabbits in Helsinki. Rabbits don't live here normally as wild animals, but those are abandoned or runaway pets who have then multiplied and filled the parks, destroying pretty much everything that grows. But I don't think these sweet bunnies deserve needles! Melanie can keep all her bunnies in one basket and we'll see what happens.

I love the table runner. Everyone of those teapots are so cute. I really like the quilting on it. The Bunnies are cute - we have a squirrel war going on here. Last summer - they were carrying off whole tomatoes from my garden. They have torn up every bird feeder and all the replacement ones. Hey - I know I'll trade you some bunnies for some squirrels!

Hi Eileen....your runner turned out just gorgeous!! That was a great idea to hand stitch so it would look like steam. I was anxious to see your completed gift as I TOO hand quilted my gift. Hand quilting takes ALOT of time and effort and I feel it makes it even MORE special. I know your swap partner must be swooning to have this in her home...it's lovely!

I'm sorry to hear about your "bunny war"... hope they stay off your crocuses now that you've put that cage over.
