Autumn Colors.. and Pink

Not a lot of sewing to show and tell at the moment. We had family visiting over the weekend.. it was lovely. But now I'm fighting a cold and slept most of yesterday away. So depressing because the weather is lovely and there are spring bulbs to plant. Maybe I'll get to them today. I did take a little stroll yesterday afternoon though.. to ge some fresh air. These mums were planted last year, and they are just now flowering. I forgot what color they were going to be. The sun was shining so beautifully, and there was a white butterfly on them, so I rushed into the house to get my camera. The butterfly was gone by the time I got back. But the sun was still there. :-)

The sun decided to come back and shine a while this morning too. I have three Burning Bushes in my yard that turn a brilliant red in the fall. Or they are supposed to. None of mine look like this. This one belongs to our neighbor behind us. Isn't it fantastic? It gets full sun all day.. I think my place is too shady. I won't even take a picture of my pathetic ones.

But the autumn colors are really starting to show up beautifully..

...and even some NOT so autumn colors. These showed up in my mailbox the other day...
Isn't this a lovely prize???? I WON it from Stephanie at Loft Creation. There was a choice between this and another autumn colored bag. But I cold hardly pass up this wonderful collection of Amy Butler fabrics and a signed pattern. Plus the bag was made by Stephanie from a vintage tablecloth, and I so wanted that. It is REALLY beautiful. I can't wait till spring to carry it. Thank you Stephanie!

I'm sorry that I have to put my comments on moderation for a little bit. I hate doing that. But it seems as if there is someone who is trying to spam the comments in my blog and I've seen the same one on some others too.. so I just dont want to take any chances.

Beautiful autumn pictures! The colors are very rich and beautiful. What a terrific giveaway prize! I think I am with you, I would not have passed up the Amy Butler either. I definitely understand about the comments, you gotta do, what you gotta do!

Good morning! I hope you are feeling better today. We felt under the weather yesterday, too.
I have never seen a burning bush before and am amazed at the color! So vibraint!!

Great totebag you won! I would have chosen it, too. Super cute!! Better yet is the Amy Butler signed pattern! :)

Have a great day.
Oh, let me know what kind of spam you are getting. I think I am getting some, too. Some Chinese links.

Eileen, I'm so glad you won that prize. If I didn't win it then it had to be you - someone that valued the little vintage piece on this darling darling bag!! And the great fabric, too. This is one of my favorite things Stephanie has ever made. Though I got a little pink cottage last week and I can't stop looking at it. She's great. But so are you! Congrats.

Hia Eileen, it's wonderful to see your Autumnal colours as I can't go out walking at the mo.

Congratulations on your wonderful prize. Incredibly special!

Sorry you have a twit on your case. I got rid of a lot of that by making my blog unsearchable. I think it's a bot doing it as that worked. A real person seems to come via other blogs.

Beautiful pictures! Feel better too! By the way, I am so jealous of your giveaway, that bag is just something else!! Hugs

PS what can spam do to a blog?

your pictures are beautiful. One thing I do miss about living in northeast PA is the beautiful fall colors. Here in DE, the leaves are starting to change but they just seem to go from green to brown.

That burning bush is spectacular! I so envy your lovely autumn colours :-) I received a huge amount of spam recently - in 5 days (of not looking) I received over 3000 imaginative comments - I still haven't deleted them all but have slowed them down to a tiny trickle after vetoing comments that include the words "escort" and "ringtone"! Most irritating - and some a little yucky! Hope the lovely bag and fabric provide a good tonic!

I love that burning bush in red, though I dont think we have them here, such vibrant colours!! tks for your wonderful wishes, I am much better, alive and kicking, not sitting though..except on that silly donut ring, so I thought i'd drop by and say hello since I am having a good 'butt' day hahaha...
