We are leaving early tomorrow, I am going with him to Florida for a couple of days to visit his place, and to share the drive down. Then I'll fly home Sunday night. So all my bags are packed.
I realized I did not have a new cute summer bag, so made this one up today. Actually I cut it out last night and sewed the strips.. then finished it this morning.
I'm really happy with it. Nanette's wonderful "Mixed Bag", and this bag made by my new friend Xue from Tokya inspired me to sew the strips of fabric and quilt them. It really was quick and easy to make!
Many of the fabric samples came from my blog friends.. (do you recognize any? ☺).. and there are a couple Japanese prints that I ordered last year. I think this is such a FUN way to showcase small bits of special fabrics!
But anyways.. I'll have limited computer access for a few days... so won't be able to answer comments or emails, unless I can find someone to loan me a laptop.. but I'll catch up with everyone next week!

Mine are stronger and looking quite well. Of course the annuals do not survive but you know I have made several. 2 days of rain and I am in heaven.
