Having Myself a Little Christmas

Santa Claus arrived last evening. So this morning I am having myself a Merry Little Christmas.

No decorations on the tree yet, just the lights. And it's the kind you take out of the box, shake a little bit and plug in. 27 years ago my youngest son was born on this day. So we always made it a tradition to get the tree on his birthday. We've had some really wonderful cut trees in the years past, and it was such fun going out and hunting them and bringing them home. Now with everyone grown up and moved away, it's better for me to have a tree I can carry and set up myself.
Anways.. I'm putting on some Christmas music and having my presents this morning. Three of them! I waited for Mr Attic to head out the door.. so I could squeal in delight to my heart's content. He wouldn't get it. I'll post back later.

And oh.. if you have not found out already,
Nanette at Freda's Hive is having her one year Blogaversary Give-Away this week. It looks like one of the best ones ever! Lots of prizes and chances to win something all week!!

We no longer have big trees but we have a small one. It really doesn't feel like Christmas until a tree is up--even a table top tree. Pretty tree skirt you have there! Can't wait to see your tree decorated!

I'm loving those ornaments on the floor in the vintage box! Somehow I knew you'd have the best vintage Christmas things. Along with the turtle doves and owls you are going to have a darling tree. Can't wait to see. I'd be squealing with delight too!

Hia Eileen, I hope you are having a lovely time now you have officially started Christmas. To me it's not really Christmas until the tree is decorated and I can sit just looking at the beautiful colours. The rest of the house then follows. I bought mulled wine candles last night just to add to the Christmassy smell. :-)

I think I am in heaven - just discovered your blog through Fredas Hive. Your projects are so neat - those owls are to to die for. Is there a pattern available for them? I must read some of your archives - I know I am going to enjoy every minute!!a.haun@sbcglobal.net
