Sewing Geese

Finally sewing on the flying geese borders. Tomorrow I can lay out my houses on the floor upstairs, but I had to get this picked up first. It is the floor in my boys' old room.. the only place that seems to say nice and clean all the time because no one is living in it. Sort of my "inspiration floor". Cannot wait to show you this all sewn up.. I am really happy with it. :-)
p.s. all my treasures are still folded here in piles waiting to be admired. One thing at a time.

Hello Eileen, where do you find the time and energy? that's a LOT of sewing geese and all so beautiful!! I know what you mean about a clean place, with my 3 stooges, cleaning is never ending..for me, weekends are not resting days but slaving days haha...

The pinwheels look so fresh in your beautiful colour combinations, and the geese fly just perfectly in their row!

i completely missed your request for help on making the geese. i would have pretended you had rectangles and made squares for the corners. sewn on the diagonal. folded back. and trimmed the excess. but you've obviously already finished them. i just love what you have done with the layout.

Oh that is beautiful! I had to laugh about your boys floor being the only place that stays nice and clean...I'm sure you never thought that would happen when they were living in that room. Someday I will have time and a clean floor space too...sort of bittersweet.

i've loved seeing this come together. i love it. and i smiled when i read that you too have an 'inspiration floor' instead of the fancy and highly desired inspiration wall. the floor works for me too.
