So what's in that old Fruit-of-the-Loom men's T-shirt box? Something I have been cutting out for weeks now..

~~~~~
A few weeks back my oldest son came for a visit. He lives about three hours away, so it's not really too far. Some changes in his life right now.. some that are making me very happy. ☺ He was so sweet to pick me a bouquet of wild flowers the one day he was here.. complete with teasel weed.
Maybe some nice IKEA shelves would do the trick. ☺
Your DWR pieces look great..can't wait to see it.
So much wonderful eye candy Eileen...as usual! I love the fabrics for your double wedding ring (have one of those on my to do list)...and Nanette's treetop birds made such a wonderful tea cozy!
So many goodies Eileen! All that folded fabric! no worries, i'm not neat either.... I try... but it always ends up a disaster....
Wow you are going to start a realy big project.. I just want to wish good luck, the beginning look terrific.
And your Tea Cosy is so adorable, it is nice to have good friends to spoil.
Cherri is so cute and it looks like she is ready for almost anything. I hope there is a prince out there for her!
I think I could bathe in that fabric. Seriously. You've got a lovely stash. The birdies are so cute!! I love them. They are darling on the cozy. Good idea. And Cherri's dress - big grin. I knew you'd do it. If anyone could, it would be you. I don't know how though but I knew you'd do it. She's darling. The milk container is so cute. Love that.
Those are a lot of arcs...and so pretty!!!! Can;'t wait to see them as you sew them.
Had to go look up orts at the other blog....what will they come up with next. I already have a ceramic bowl with bitty pieces left from squaring up!
Whoa, you have been busy cutting and with scissor no less!! You go girl!! I just love all the fabrics that you chose. Nanette is funny about bathing in the fabric, but those are my sentiments too! This Double Wedding Ring quilt is going to be gorgeous! Love what you made for your friend, so cute. I definitely think a trip to Ikea is worth it. I have many storage pieces from them in my studio and love each and every one.
so funny to see your fabrics in that bottle, i just recently started putting my thread scraps into a clear bottle. i imagine it will take some time to fill up. so far it looks so pretty with differnt colors of thread in there. i'll show when it's all full
I have always wanted to find a lamp with a hollow inside and put my little tips from the HST's I have made, I love you scrap bottle. The quilt will be beautiful as all your work is!! I knew you would make Cherri a dress, I had to show my 13 year old daughter, you just blow me away girl!!
Wow, what a wonderful post. Can't wait to see your arcs come together. Lovely little outfit for Cherri xo
What is an ORT???
Yep, what is ort? That is going to be one beautiful double wedding ring quilt. I just love that pattern. Oh Cherri is sweet in pink!
I have no idea what an ort is - but it sure looks nice in the bottle, lol! I can't wait to see what you do with the arcs, they look so intriguing. Love Cherri's little dress, she's adorable!
You did a lovely job on the tea cozy! And I love the fact you're really going to be in the Attic, lol. Good luck keeping the stash neat - I cast my vote for some Ikea shelves too, I just got my new catalog and I'm drooling.
Your DWR will be beautiful
cheers
Christine
Someday someday someday I will make a double wedding ring. In the meantime I'm going to sit back and really enjoy watching you make yours.
You really have big plans, making that DWR quilt. The fabrics are so lovely, it will be a beautiful quilt. - Exiting changes are going on at your house, I want to see your Attic when it has the shelves filled with folded fabric. Cherri looks so happy in her pretty little dress!
OO your ring quilt is going to look wonderful. That design is one of my fav ones.
It's good when children make wise decisions. I think it makes us think we didn't do too bad raising them. :-)
Tweet tea cosy- lovely idea. Cherri's dress is just right for her. So teeney tiny.
Cherri is ready for a party! Bring on the ice cream and cake!
Orts are great, I love orts! (my dog loves orts too, but from the kitchen LOL!)
That's alot of scissor work there on the arcs. You are machine piecing them though right?
I knew you could dress that little doll. So cute.
Your new project will be neat to see.
The tea cozy is so cute.
all your arcs definitely need to be organized. there are so so many. can't wait to see some of it put together.
Great start on double wedding ring, Eileen. The fabrics you chose are so lovely.
Wow! A wonderful full post!! I love the fabric for your double wedding ring! That will be so awesome! Can't wait to see its progress. Little Cherri looks cute in her new dress. She will be the hit of the hitty club! I love the cardinal tea cosy - very nice! As for cleaning up the stash. Yeah, we all probably have to do that. I just never take photos when the place is a mess.
And it sounds like you will finally be in your attic!
I love your arcs! I've always wanted to do a double wedding ring (I'm guessing here).
Cheers,
Dionne
I really love my tea cozy!
Your fabrics always make me SMILE!
You have a big project ahead. I think I need to do the same....but it seems overwhelming!
Doll dresses are wonderful!
Helen
I am so happy good things are happening in your son's life. That must make a mothers heart sing :)
Your fabrics are wonderful as always! Why no rotary cutter? Do you not like them? Or did you just never get one? I'm just curious ;)
i literally swoon everytime i read your posts and see your pics...cherri's dress is darling! your fabric stash is wonderful! everything, everything, everything...i am swooning...☺☺☺
Dwr is a beautiful pattern, yours will be perfect with all those pretty fabrics. Cutting out 2090 pieces by hand...thats a lot of work! Will you piece the quilt by hand or machine?
I also love the teacozy you made for Helen, what a wonderful gift!
Charming fabrics for your Orts and Arcs!
I just found your blog (owl ornaments) and I love it! Definatly will follow it now!
I would defiantly recommend ruler folding your fabric, it's SO much easier and looks very neat on shelves! I finally did this (this) past month and it makes a big difference !
I love your container!!!!I surely could have the T-shirt box, what a treasure, oh my!!! And a sweet darling doll with cute shoes, I love it!
Oh what is that darling doll in the 1st photo, the one with the orange apron? And did you make her outfit? I love your blog. I haven't been by since the spring; no time for visiting either!
